Neuromodulators
VOLUMA XC:
As you age, the cheeks may flatten, and the skin may begin to sag. This is caused by a natural loss of volume in the cheek area, or what the experts call age-related midface volume loss. JUVÉDERM VOLUMA® XC adds volume beneath the skin’s surface, providing lift and contour to the cheek area. JUVÉDERM VOLUMA® XC provides natural-looking and long-lasting results that last up to 2 years with optimal treatment.
VOLBELLA XC:
JUVÉDERM VOLBELLA® XC is a crystal-clear gel that is injected directly into and around the lips using an ultra-fine needle to plump the lips for lip augmentation temporarily and to smooth the appearance of lines around the mouth (often called “lipstick lines”). The lidocaine gel improves the comfort of the injection by reducing sensitivity to pain. JUVÉDERM VOLBELLA® XC lasts up to 1 year, with optimal treatment.
VOLLURE XC:
JUVÉDERM VOLLURE™ XC is injected into the areas of facial tissue where moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds occur, including the “parentheses lines” around the nose and mouth. JUVÉDERM VOLLURE™ XC is designed to temporarily correct facial wrinkles for a smoother appearance to the face for adults over the age of 21.
The lidocaine in the gel improves the comfort of the injection by reducing sensitivity to pain.
ULTRA XC:
JUVÉDERM® ULTRA XC is an injectable gel that temporarily adds more fullness and plumps thin lips, whether they have thinned over time or you want fuller lips. JUVÉDERM® ULTRA XC is also approved for smoothing and correcting moderate to severe parentheses lines, such as nasolabial folds (smile lines around the nose and mouth), in adults.
JUVÉDERM® ULTRA XC lasts up to one year, with optimal correction.
VOLUX XC:
JUVÉDERM Volux XC is the first and only hyaluronic acid filler option for jawline definition. Volux is used to replace volume loss and help improve lost jawline definition.
ULTRA PLUS XC:
JUVÉDERM Ultra Plus XC is a hyaluronic acid filler FDA approved for moderate and severe smile lines. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance that keeps skin moisturized and soft. Juvéderm Ultra Plus gives a long-lasting, natural looking result.
SKINVIVE:
SKINVIVE™ by JUVÉDERM® helps the skin retain its natural moisture and softness, improving the skin smoothness of the cheeks. In clinical studies, patients treated with SKINVIVE™ by JUVÉDERM® also reported high satisfaction with how glowing, hydrated, refreshed, and healthy their skin looked through 6 months.

Botox and Dysport are both neurotoxin injectables used for reducing wrinkles. The key differences are in their active ingredients, formulations, onset of action, and spread. Botox has onabotulinumtoxinA, while Dysport has abobotulinumtoxinA, and Dysport may have a quicker onset but also spread more easily. Both last around 3-4 months. Consulting a professional can help determine which is best for your needs.
The duration of dermal fillers varies depending on the type of filler used, the area treated, individual metabolism, and lifestyle factors. Here are approximate durations for some common dermal fillers:
Hyaluronic Acid Fillers (e.g., Juvéderm, Restylane): Generally last between 6 to 18 months, with some formulations lasting up to 2 years in certain areas.
Calcium Hydroxylapatite Fillers (e.g., Radiesse): Typically last around 12 to 18 months, depending on the treatment area and individual response.
Poly-L-lactic Acid Fillers (e.g., Sculptra): Results can last up to 2 years or more after a series of treatments, as the filler stimulates collagen production over time.
It's important to note that these are general estimates, and individual results may vary. Factors such as metabolism, product placement, injection technique, and skincare regimen can influence the longevity of dermal fillers. Additionally, maintenance treatments may be needed to sustain results over time.
Consulting with a qualified injector or dermatologist can provide personalized information regarding the expected duration of dermal fillers based on your specific treatment plan and goals.
Like any medical procedure, injectable treatments can have potential side effects, although they are generally mild and temporary. Some common side effects associated with injectable treatments include:
Injection Site Reactions: This can include redness, swelling, bruising, tenderness, and itching at the injection site. These reactions typically subside within a few days to a week.
Allergic Reactions: While rare, some individuals may experience allergic reactions to injectable products. Symptoms may include rash, itching, hives, swelling, or difficulty breathing. Immediate medical attention is needed if an allergic reaction occurs.
Infection: Although uncommon, infection at the injection site can occur. It's important to ensure that the treatment is administered in a sterile environment by a qualified healthcare professional to minimize this risk.
Nodules or Lumps: Occasionally, small lumps or nodules may develop at the injection site. These are usually temporary and can be massaged or treated by your healthcare provider if necessary.
Asymmetry or Unevenness: In some cases, there may be asymmetry or unevenness in the treated area. This can often be corrected with additional treatment or adjustments.
Migration or Displacement: Injectable fillers can sometimes migrate or shift from the intended injection site. This can be managed by your provider and may require additional treatment if significant.
Vascular Complications: Rarely, injectable treatments can inadvertently affect blood vessels, leading to complications such as vascular occlusion or ischemia. This risk is minimized when treatments are performed by experienced and skilled healthcare providers.
It's essential to discuss potential side effects and risks with your healthcare provider before undergoing any injectable treatment. They can provide you with personalized information based on your medical history, treatment plan, and individual factors to help you make informed decisions about your care.
The time it takes to see results from an injectable treatment can vary depending on the type of injectable used and the specific treatment area. Here's a general timeline for when you might expect to see results from common injectable treatments:
Botulinum Toxin (Botox, Daxxify, Dysport):
Onset of Action: It typically takes about 3-5 days for botulinum toxin injections to start showing noticeable effects.
Full Results: The full effects are usually visible within 1-2 weeks after treatment.
Dermal Fillers (Hyaluronic Acid, Calcium Hydroxylapatite, etc.):
Immediate Results: You may see immediate improvements in volume and smoothness in the treated area right after the injection due to the filler material.
Optimal Results: The optimal results are typically visible within a few days to a week as any initial swelling or redness subsides.
It's important to note that individual response to injectable treatments can vary, and factors such as treatment area, product used, and your body's natural healing process can influence the timeline for seeing results. Your healthcare provider can provide you with specific information about when to expect results based on your treatment plan and goals.
